Whooooo weeeeeeee I was sooooooo lazy today. Didnt do much of anything. Slept nearly all day. Read a magazine. (We went to a bookstore with STacey before she left and the only thing I could afford was an older Esquire from the half-off box....but it was still interesting to read good ole American mags...although the fashion mags seems almost pornographic with their naked ladies everywhere.) Left the house for the first time at 4 pm to buy potatoes and beans for dinner. Now we are at the internet cafe to email for an hour, then see Lord of the Rings I. Still holding out for the second one, but this way Im all refreshed on whats going on.
Maybe tomorrow I will get my act together and exercise. Read my book. Make another key lime pie. Whatdya think?

I have written at least two big blogs, but apparently the blog monster has run away with all of them......goodness.....of course now I have no recollections of what I actually wrote....probably more complaining about the heat.
Today I pulled off a three inch by three inch piece of skin from my shin. Gross? You should have seen what came off the other leg. Ah, the wonders of sunburn. Both disgusting and fascinating. Jeremy was kind enough to peel my back and shoulders last night begrudgingly. (But he did it himself this morning without me asking....heh heh). (To get you up to date, we went to Kokrobite last weekend and at the beach I failed to wear sunscreen for a period of time and got a really bad sunburn on my back, shoulders, upper arms, shins and back of my knees. I was trying to even out my skin tones, but now I am even more of a patchwork disaster. But I did learn my lesson: NEVER leave home without a good slathering of sunscreen. EVER. Or, you will pay the price with three inch pieces of skin and itches and severe pain for a week. Ah, the lesson I keep on learning....the only time it was worse was when I went on vacation with my sister and we sat out on the beach all day in Virginia Beach and my back got lobster red. When I got home, Jeremy could peel huge sheets of skin off my bag....so revolting.......and here I did it again. Must I repeat all of my worst mistakes over and over again?? But Im better now and the multitudes of blister colonies that appeared on my flesh yesterday are now picked away.)
So other than my peeling flesh, life has been busy. THe last two days, I havent even had a chance to check my email. The day before yesterday, our friend Stacey was leaving and we stuck with her all day while she wrapped up her loose ends. It was weird and sad and interesting---getting this sneak preview of what it might be like when its our time to return home---all the mixed feelings, crazy busy last days, and give away free for all with all of the stuff that wont fit in the suitcases. I was happy we could see Stacey as much as we did before she left (and thanks for a bag full of stuff she left here---a jump rope and sunscreen and vitamins and towels and clothes and other stuff.) As much as I miss her (she was the one we saw the most and liked the most out of everyone here), I am happy as she was ready to return to Canada (and freeze her ass off....lucky gal.)
We helped clean, advised her on suitcase packing, accompanied her to a book store to find airport reading, gave her gifts, visited the airport to drop off her bags (which took about three minutes), brought her beer, then returned to the airport for our final goodbyes before she boarded the plane (which also took almost no time at all.)
Yesterday was weird and lazy and tired....I didnt leave the house at all except once with Jeremy to buy groceries. Today, I exercised (could finally wear my spandexy shorts without wincing in pain), bought groceries and helped with supper. Now we are at BUsy Internet (just watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding---very good) but its hot as HELL in here....dont know why since the movie room was nicely air conditioned, but out here in computer land its like, 120 degrees.....argh.
Thanks to all those who emailed......we are fine......I dont know where those other blogs went truly.....but I will continue to keep you all up to date.
