Hey gang.....could have sworn I wrote another blog since the 25th, but oh well. Tomorrow, our friend Erin is helping with an international add-on to a Dance Marathon. DM, as she calls it, is this big party that takes place at Northwestern University in Chicago, as well as other cities. They raise money for charity and dance for 30 hours. Shes really really into it and wanted to be the first person to organize one outside of the U.S. She's gotten a lot of support, considering this is a new thing over in Ghana. Who really understands a raffle over here? At first things were flying smoothly, but now there are all sorts of lumps popping up...who knows how it will go on Saturday, but at least it will be done and she tried.
Then on Sunday we are leaving for Cape Coast. Monday we are travelling to Kakum National Park. This year for my birthday, I want to do something memorable. Usually, when people ask me what I did for my birthday, I cant remember. But this year---I will be walking on Africa's only canopy walk--a rope bridge suspended on the tops of the trees in the rainforest--as well as de-worming my intestines with some medicine. Yeah! Who can forget that???? The place where we are staying sounds great---Hans Cottage--it has a pool, and a big tank of crocodiles, and its surrounded by rain forest and animals. Ah......a little bit of paradise for the big 2-9.
We will be coming home on the 5th, because the 6th is Independence Day (think July 4th) and everything will be closed. Besides, it will be cool to see what sorts of celebrations occur at the monuments around Accra. So, I wont be checking email from Sunday until Friday morning. Take care everyone!

What a great night! Our friend Erin delived some mail to us!!!!!!!! We got treats and cards from Jeremys mom (thanks Trish!), checks and zines and letters from mom (Thanks mom!), cds from Dave (Thanks DAVE) and a zine and letter from Leah (Thanks Leah!) I loved getting mail before, but this getting mail in Ghana stuff is soooooooooooo blissful. Im trying not to devour it, but its hard. I miss mail. It was one of the best parts of my day and Jeremy and I would fight over who got to remove the mail from the box. (We are geeks, but its true.)
Then we had pizza AND ice cream and now I get to email at Busy. Wow! What a great day!!!!!!!!!
So many thanks to all who sent mail. We love you. You rock.
