Its so hot. Good lordy.
I made some banana nut bread and an apple crisp. Yum.
I had a long list of things I wanted to write today, but I just dont have the energy. Besides, this computer will self destruct in about two minutes. It already booted me out of hotmail and yahoo. Its only a matter of time.
I'll write more soon about the annoying missionaries next door and being in Ghana as a white girl.

Slow computers today. Whew. Ive been having a few meltdowns lately...just overwhelmed by the world and all its problems. Otherwise, same old same old.
For Valentines day, we went out to a nice Indian restaurant. It didnt occur to us to call ahead, but when we got there the place was packed with reserved tables. It also didnt occur to us that we'd see anyone we knew, but we kept seeing folks, who in turn commented on our dorky red and black attire. Oh well.
In other news, they finally got rice paper wrappers in Sotrec super market. (the kind for spring rolls.) We knew it was just a matter of time...we saw them in Togo, but they were pricey..at least $5 for a package that normally costs about a dollar. Here, they're $7 to $8! Glad I brought some with me!
I also brought a can of pumpkin and evaporated milk so I could make a pumpkin pie. Sadly, I cant find either Karo syrup (for a pecan pie) or shortening. I had to make the crust out of butter, which was totally crumbly and a bit melty in the heat. It didnt turn out bad...kind of like a pumpkin pie with a shortbread crust.
Thats it for now....take care.
