The water gods (or the fire department) have had mercy on our whining, spoiled souls, and we again have water. The trucks came last night to fill all the tanks in the complex. The water itself is not on, but we have liquid as long as the tanks last. We're lucky---both that we didnt have to wait the two weeks originally claimed by the fire department, and because we're just two people, compared to the 14 people in the big house. Less competition. We're being more frugal too--shutting off the shower while we lather and such, not running water needlessly during dishes. We should probably do that all the time, but its easy to forget what a precious commodity water is, especially here.
Tomorrow is the six month anniversary of Chris's death. Very sad, and as time goes on I accumulate more questions than answers. Just when I think I totally get it, I realize that I dont have a clue. It wont ever be fully resolved in my head or heart, and while I understand that, its still hard.
We're leaving tomorrow for the beach. Will be gone until Monday, since its a holiday weekend.
Have fun painting eggs, hunting for baskets, spotting the Easter bunny and devouring chocolate. Be back next week.

AAAARRRRRGH!! We are officially out of water. Many places within Osu had been complaining that they ran out of water, but thankfully, we didnt have any problems. This weekend, it stopped for one day, but we still had water in our roof tank, so by the time it came on the following day, our water never seemed to drop. Yesterday, we did things as normal, hearing that the big house had no water at all. We went out for a beer at Duncan's, then came home to find NOTHING. No sink, no toilet, no shower. SO suck. The cockroach house next door still has water since nobody lives there, so we went over there to take a shower, use the toilet and grab a bucket of water so we could flush our own toilet. I had to wash dishes with two pure water bags. But it really is a pain in the ass when I think about everything we do in the house that requires water. We've been told that if we pay/bribe the fire department 350,000 cedis, they will come and fill the tanks. They were supposed to do that yesterday, but havent. SUCKS!!!!!!

An important baking lesson: chickpea flour does not substitute for either white or whole wheat flour. I tried a recipe for honey wheat, but we ran out of regular flour. In using chappati flour, the resulting bread was very dense, slightly low and a bit heavy. I'll know better next time.
Quick recap: Saw The Ring. Terrible, and it didnt make any sense. Waited for the car to be fixed. Went to the pool. Jeremy's computer freaked out again. Dropped off my resume at OPE today. Jeremy has an interview today with an author in Tema. Its hot.
Thats it for now...more later.
